15-New Houses

15-New Houses

The town is growing, allowing me to build new houses, which is something I like doing in the Sims.  But I like to keep the Sims in order if possible as I go about building. Windenburg has caught my fancy with it's country road feeling to the neighborhoods and I've been staying in that area here mostly with the Bjergsen's and the Scott's. The Bjergsen house is a house I need to return to since it was used to raise five children up to their teens where it transformed into a baby production unit.  Now with only Irving and Caroline living there, some remodeling will need to take place.  So lets take a cruise around town.

I had Dayton Villareal move in with his sister Shawna at the Le Chien's in Willow Creek, this in order to get Vivienne and Dayton together in a reasonable manner. Now that they are together, Dayton moved back, with Vivienne, to his father's house in Windenburg. While there I did a bulldoze of the place and built a replacement.

I'm finding that winter time is not a good time to build when the house is the active house.  The snow lingers during build mode, so I'm not sure what type of roof it has.  But the layout came out well and it does look good in it's winter coating.

The backside.  When I come back maybe the terrain tools will be available, for this is a large lot the house sits on.  It needs to be moved back from the road, but again I need to wait for spring time, when there is no snow on the ground, so I can see the ground to add vegetation.

A quick look inside showing the kitchen.  I've become more reliant on the stock items as much as possible.  It makes it more easier to share, though some of the CC objects look really nice, where I  may have to build a CC full house.

It so happens that Nichole is walking by the house as we speak.  It looks like a good winter day walk with the sun out.

The Bjergsen's split up, with Elsa, Irving and Anita moving down the road from the Bjergsen's old house.  Using the Tutor set of building objects for the majority of the houses in Windenburg to give it a more country feeling to it and consistency, but I also did this in Goth neighborhood in Willow Creek.

Need to work some more on the backside.   The vista provided must be taken advantage of with the use of large windows and patios, but the lot size really makes it tight.

Will, Anita, and Elsa Bjergsen. The new house was Anita's wedding present.  Snow coming down outside and the fire is going in the fireplace for their only source of heat does makes a nice late evening .

Elsa is maxed out in Cooking, except for Baking. But all she is waiting for is a grand kid and hopefully Anita will provide her one, provided she doesn't get killed by the knives.  Elsa should be becoming a elder soon.

The living room is a bit tight. Probably could use some more width in the lot, which is 30x20. It is a two story, but the master suite is down stairs and it has space for a nursery, which right now is occupied by Will's exercise equipment.  There are two bedrooms upstairs.

Oh yea, I did say that Will and Anita are married. The Bjergsen's are going to assimilate the town.  I may add a basement to this house.

It's New Years eve, and the three are staying up for the countdown.  The living room is open from above with a balcony that leads to the two bedrooms upstairs.  The fireplace is located at a good place and there is room for dancing. I should get the two clubs over and see how things work out.

Its the countdown.

Elsa sleeps in largetst of the upstairs bedrooms.  Both bedrooms have their own full bath.

Oh. It's New Year day.  Holiday goals obtained.

Christie, over for a visit at the Rasoya house, shows some dance moves to Krysta.  I think Christie is making a good impression.

The old Bjergsen house.  This is the default, after having five children here the place needs to be rearrange.  Now only Sofia, Irving and Caroline live in the behemoth of a house.  I modified the place a bit to handle the kids.

Big changes to the upstairs, with six double beds lined up, the school house desks for each of the children and the dreaded scouting board. Then the extra large bathroom, two bathrooms in one.  Not needed any more, needs to change. Just hate to see it go.  Had a good time getting those kids through school, up until they got that huge power bill.

Elsa's sister, Irving and Susan's mother, Sofia died. So Irving and Caroline got the family together for a burial service.  It was snowed out. Half the members couldn't walk from the street to the grave site, due to blizzard conditions.  I believe Peter and Vanessa just took off and left, Christie is on the ground, and poor Krysta was the only one made it besides Irving and Caroline.

While I was at the Bjergsen house, got Irving have a romantic dinner with Caroline at the Cafe Redoubt, so he can propose.

And to celebrate they made a snowman.  This one looked pretty good, so I had a picture taken with them.

Justin and Tiffani got married.  Had Irving come over to do the photos for the post wedding pose settings.   Spring has arrived.

Remember the Bjergsen house.  Irving and Caroline had it remodeled. Same floor plan on the first floor, little bit different on the second floor, and a third floor was added so Irving can have his own studio.  The front door is now closer to the spawn point where one arrives when traveling to the Bjergsen house.

Keeping the open glass while keeping the look to what I want in Windenburg houses. Not too many changes to the landscaping except the pool was downsized to make room for the front porch leading to the front door. This is the backside and where the original front door was.  I'll have more pictures of the inside in the next chapter.

Willow Creek.  Home to seven houses.  It started with the Le Chien house, then to the Harding house and off from there.   I actually started with Stephan Harding living in Oasis Springs, until I realize it doesn't snow there (or haven't seen snow there yet), so I moved him to Willow Creek with Summer Holiday to build the Le Chien house.   Beckham and Christie, will eventually move into the Watanabe house soon, currently a relative is holding the house for them as the two still live with Peter and Vanessa in Windenburg.

I have no houses in Oasis Springs, just some venues and the park.  Of the three, two are occuppied with MCCC taking care of the families.  The empty house I have it set for demolition, but will be replaced with a house very much like the one sitting on it now and probably have it occuppied by a second generation family.   The custom house across the street is where I had Stephan Harding start at.

There are five houses in Windenburg. The two nightclubs, bowling alley, restaurants are also here. The bluffs, mansion, and ruins are still there untouched.  There are three houses that MCCC does it thing with making babies and that sort of thing.

Have two houses in in Brindleton Bay that contain the Trivedi's. I may build a new house for Angelo and Genevieve either on the very large lot (which the Trivedi's came from), or the old Delgato lot.

The City, which I'm not much into apartment living, has four families that MCCC takes care of.  One of which I pulled Theodore, Maki, and Krysta from.

With the passing of Morgan Fyres Harding and Sofia Bjergsen, it leaves only Elsa as one of the original Sims left.   Here's a list of my YA Sims in order of age.  The number is the percentage into the YA age span, so in a couple of days, Saya Suzuki will be aging up to Adult.
