02-Fall
02-Fall
Having some fun with seasons I must admit, even though I'm seeing some tasking glitches where the sim is behaving erratically by jumping from spot to spot when doing something. But the holidays is going to be interesting for a while, if I can keep these silly events from popping up. I set up Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Eve, Easter and Independence day as my main holidays, with the majority being in the at the end of autumn and the first week of winter.
But I have a couple of days left of summer and I wanted to see how the wadding pool works out with little Anita. Totally missed it with Justin, and Anita is about to age up, so off we go to the wadding pool, yea!
The backyard is progressing nicely, need to watch that sprinkler being on all the time, which I believe raises the water bill, it has to be Justin. The wind chimes I got from the backyard stuff pack is one item I put in all backyards. The swing works, though I need to add in some texturing there.
With seasons, I also decided to add the laundry pack into the picture. Its ironic, but its nice to deal with dirty clothes again and it adds another green moodlet for all your household sims.
I just wished my clothes came out folded right out of the dryer. Need to find out what brand that is. But for some reason Morgan has issues with that dryer. For there were at least three occasions where static build up just blew up on her.
Often causing raucous behavior from child sims, in this case Justin. Why would anyone want to get up out of bed and run into the middle of the fire. Pyro Justin thats who. Good thing this house is equipped with fire prevention service, but Stephan got it extinguished before the system kicked in.
All in time for Anita's birthday. The calendar showed it being that day and so after Morgan finished up on the laundry, a little birthday cake was cooked up by Stephan. That it ended up so tightly was amazing, for Anita's mobilization skill was a smidgen from 5. Morgan was burning up in the laundry room and Stephan was starving to death while putting out a fire. The walk from her room to the kitchen was all that was needed, and Anita became a child.
Justin is securing his empathy score by scaring Tiffani Le Chien. It's his favorite pass time after school. This is a good nieghborhood for raising kids, since it has the pirate ship playground. All his other character values are in the green. Good kid.
The signs of autumn come quickly on the next day. As it is still warm, Morgan cooks up a early autumn barbecue The leaves turn color and start to fall, giving the children the chore of raking the yard. Sweet. For some reason the BBQ grill lost its top. Are they trying to save money there? The first holiday, Halloween is coming up.
The Hardings decided to go visit the Le Chien's across the street and where greeted with champaign and Halloween salutations. For children its costumes and candy, for adults its costumes and drink. It was difficult setting this holiday up. So I added the festive mood to it. Tiffani in the yellow top, is Summer's daughter and is the oldest of the children, and Anita (mimicking), is the youngest. Simon Le Chien and Justin Harding are the same age.
I was going to have them dress up in costumes at the Le Chien's, but thought it be odd, so before bed time, I had them wear costumes. I believe the first time I have done that intentionally.
Anita has the genius trait and all the pieces that go with it at her age, so she has her mother read to her at least two books. Seasonal wreaths adorn the wall around the unlit fireplace while the two are freezing on the couch, i.e. the winter wear and frugal Stephan hasn't lit the furnace yet. It gets chilly at night during autumn.
Some mild seasonal decorations put out in build mode to set that crispy morning feel as one goes off to work. Morgan has reached her top level in her career and is looking quite sharp in that work setup. She does notice the neighbors having full decorations up on their house.
It's feast day and it was time to decorate (again). So after work, Morgan opens the boxes and puts up some streamers on the edges of the house. Had the family again visit the Le Chien's and afterwards have the grand dinner. It wasn't until 10pm until Stephan had that turkey ready. The kids were tried out and hungry, and none of the holiday events affected them. But Stephan and Morgan did get the satisfaction of Feast Day. Its just I just missed it.
They are all asleep in their beds, for tomorrow is school day and work day for Morgan. Just two empty plates and a decaying turkey on the counter. Note the frost on the windows. Winter is coming.
I think the Goths has the Hardings beat.
